We’re excited to announce a new version of the Library module that features enhanced integration with Centre and many new capabilities. This module is based on OpenBiblio, an easy to use, automated library system containing OPAC, circulation, cataloging, staff administration and student history functionality.
Now, as a student is added to Centre/SIS, that same information is synchronized in real-time with OpenBiblio and the student can immediately check out materials from the library. We have also added the possibility to allow use of the Library and checkout books for parents, staff and school personel.
In addition parents can, directly within Centre, search the library catalog and see what books their student(s) have read, checked out, returned or not returned just as easily as they can see grades or attendance. All information is accessible from a single system ... Centre SIS!
We have also integrated new screens in OpenBiblio, including new search capabilities, reports, the display of student an staff pictures from the Centre database, and many more.
Last but not least, we have expanded the Z39 and Amazon bibliography searches to include sources in France, Spain, Germany, China and other countries so you can just as easilly reference and manage materials in different languages.
