Centre v. 2.5 has been in the hands of our supported clients for some time now, and we've released it for general availablity. We cannot underestimate the contributions made by our supported clients to the improvements in Centre. Their unfailing optimism and expert advice are the driving forces for Centre.
The number of bug fixes alone justified a major release, but we've made lots of enhancements as well. Here's a partial list from the Change Log:
- Users
- New profiles system for user permissions. Allows permissions to be assigned to profiles of users, such as secretaries, nurses, deans, principals, etc.
- Permissions can be assigned to each student field category -- for users and profiles. When a user isn't allowed access to a student field category, he can't see that category's tab in Student Info, he can't see any of those fields in the expanded view or the advanced report, and he can't search on those fields.

- Added Year Fraction to Weights in Courses setup for the sake of calculating GPA of courses that don't meet full year
